What's New - Vol. 6

The information here is probably useless, as it is created to help me orgnaize my ideas. However, I would be very glad if it helps someone.

Games

I played Kingdom Come: Deliverance this week. However, I found it was quite hard. I didn't have any clue of how to play it. The gameplay is unfriendly. I quited in the end. I may try it again when I have more time.

The open beta test is launched this week. Honestly, the experience was awful. The game performance is bad. I got lots of issues while playing it in Linux. The game crashed from time to time, though it looks like an issue of GPU driver. The gaming experience is worse than World/Rise, from my perspective. Hopefully, there will be some improvement later.

I finished The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. The quality is.. normal. It is interesting to act as Zelda instead of Link. However, the dungeon design is not very good. I will recommend players to play other games in this series if they don't play them before.

Manga

This week, I read 3 gatsu no lion again. The story always warms me and forces me to review my life. What is the life I want to live? I am a guy who always picks takeaway instead of cooking by myself. And I always spend money without thinking a lot. Maybe it is time to change my thought.

I like how Rei acts at present. He works hard in his job, even when there is a warm home with him. He never thinks of giving up, and escaping. I like his life style. I always get lazy and quit. I had played video games for weeks!

Misc

I want to purchase a small tablet for a long while. I read lots of articles and news every day. It is not very comfortable to stay in front of a desk for a long time the whole day. And sometimes, I just want to read something on the bed cozily.

I hestitate to pick iPad mini 7 or Lenovo Y700. I am a fan of open source operating systems, as I want to control my data myself, which is why I host the blog myself instead of using services like X. However, there is no well customized Android ROM for Y700. Only GSI is available.

Finally, I found a post sharing the experience of using Y700 with GSI. It looks good. The only issue is that DRM doesn't work after unlocking the bootloader. I don't use streaming videos in my life, and may only use it for reading. Thus it is fine, and I decide to try it.
