What's New - Vol. 4

The information here is probably useless, as it is created to help me orgnaize my ideas. However, I would be very glad if it helps someone.

Metaphor: ReFantazio

I purchased it after it got released, and finished it today (Oct 20). I may not receommend it to players who expects a better experience than Persona 5. However, if you want to play games similar with Persona 5, it is definitely a good choice.

The system got huge improvement. It reduced the boreness of farming in Persona 5, as you can skip fighting monsters once your level is high enough. There is no any auto-generated boring dungeons. And the time scheduling is not quite strict. When it comes to gameplay, the experience is much better than Persona 5.

However, the storytelling is normal and I was more interested in the campus life described in Persona 5. As for me, I was not attracted by the fantasy life in the game.

My rating is like 3/5.

PC Builds

My PC was built in the end of 2021. Though it can manage to run new games smoothly, games crash from time to time, as I deployed some other services in my PC. Therefore, I decided to increase the memory.

The PC was built with Ryzen 5 3600 and B450i, so I can only use memory with DDR4. As all new motherboards only support DDR5, the new DDR4 memory I purchase will be useless in the future when I want to conduct a big upgrade. Thus, I hesitated whether I need to replace my CPU and motherboard together.

Finally, I found that it was meaningless to upgrade equipments for a "may-be" necessity. Who knows when DDR6 will come? At that time, my new DDR5 will be useless too. It is a bad habit to purchase stuffs I don't need. Therefore, I only picked DDR4 as it is cheap enough and good enough at present.

I will stay in B450i for a long time unless one day I find I really need a big upgrade. Keep calm and stay wise.
